totally not.
if were talking ideally... hippies strived to make the world a better place for all. they protested injustices and took things wrong with the status quo and tried to affect change to solve them. hippies used thier strength and gatherings for postive changes. ravers, ideally, are only concerned with the immediate. they only wish to affect change if it will help thier escapist enviroment. apart from the few charity raves thrown every year, ravers are out for themselves and thier social group. hippies (again, ideally) had a purpose and were positive because they strived for it. ravers have no practical purpose and are only positive because it serves themselves better to be. |

Hippies huh? I understand what you mean by the love, music, environment, but I agree with werdboy when he says.....ravers only want to effect change when it involves them and hippies care about international politics and cared for the world as a whole.
