NHL Playoffs!
Well the regular season is over and now it's time for the hockey that matters.
The West lines up as follows (1) Detroit versus (8) Calgary prediction Detroit in 6 (2) Anaheim versus (7) Minnesota prediction Minnesota 7 (3) Vancouver versus (6) Dallas prediction Vancouver in 5 (4) Nashville versus (5) San Jose prediction San Jose in 6 The East lines up as follows (1) Buffalo versus (8) Long Island prediction Buffalo in 4 (2) New Jersey versus (7) Tampa Bay prediction New Jersey in 6 (3) Atlanta versus (6) New York Rangers prediction Atlanta in 7 (4) Ottawa versus (5) Pittsburgh prediction Pittsburgh in 6 most lop sided match up definitely has to be Long Island versus Buffalo. the Isle is well coached but that's about all. what a horrible team they have... Buffalo is going to tear them apart. most exciting match up has to be Ottawa and Pittsburgh. Heatly, Alfredoson, Spezza, Crosby, Malkin, and Staal will be a treat to watch. My brain says we're going to see a San Jose Buffalo final but my heart wants to see Pittsburgh, Vancouver. Go Canucks!!! Last edited by Senior; Apr 08, 07 at 06:02 PM.

Toronto didn't make the playoffs... is there a point to living??? Ah yes, its called beer.
Seriously though, if Toronto played the Sabres, profits from that series would go through the roof seeing as Toronto is the team that everyone loves to hate, and that the cities are less than an hour's drive apart. Gotta feel bad for Mats Sundin, to miss the playoffs 2 years in a row with Toronoto, seems like he always busts his ass for that team and they go nowhere in return. Oh well, I guess his golf game will get a good fine-tuning.

^ Dude, did you see the game Tampa played against us? They looked like they hadn't been acquainted with the concept of defense. They don't have a top rated goalie. They slipped in the standings late in the year. They are playing a veteran team with a goaltender who was not only arguably the best all season, but is also in the conversation regarding "best of all time".
I'd stake my life on it: they are not getting past the Devils. I agree with you about the west though. No cinderella stories there.

OH HELLO!
Seeing as all the playoffs are broadcast in glorious HD and I have recently acquired an equally as glorious HD-PVR to accompany my 50" HDTV I propose many nights of NHL hockey at my house. Anyone else interested to see what we could work out for game nights!?!?
