Ugh relish will make a reso for a lot of people but they don't give good service to large groups :P
Actually, I've found that is pretty much standard across the city, a lot of restaurants are happy to give reservations to large groups but they are not equipped to handle them, they totally understaff or they use archaic billing systems that will not allow them to divide up bills (which can pretty much almost always cause problems at the end of the night) Anyways, if anyone has any ideas about places that can handle large groups really well I'm interested to hear about it! :P |

Yeah when I went there it was pretty horrible, I think it's honestly management's fault for assigning one person to a table that had over 20 people at it, she was really not feeling it and you could really tell. Also, of course they didn't divide up the bills and they accidentally put a 100% autograt on the bill which a lot of people never noticed (thank god for wishbone!)

The food is shit too. I have been there twice in the last few months with mediocre dinners. :( |

I know of places where they have "set menu's" for large groups ...so then i guess everyone would have to pay a certain amount? but then there's people's funds and if they can afford it and all ... how much is it to rent a hall? or a room somewhere? |

Capricorn Grill on Broadway across from the London Drugs by Cambie. HUGE menu, well priced, and good eats. If you give them a couple of days notice you can fit groups of 40. They're usually not so busy because they don't advertise. But i give them the thumbs up.

The Kingston on Richards between Robson and Georgia. (old Rose and Thorn Pub). You could probably book the whole downstairs. It has it's own bar and dart boards. (and it's haunted, too!)
Subeez. Upstairs @ La Bodega. Make sure to revive this thread, after the fact, just to satisfy the curiosity of everyone making suggestions. Frosty (votes for Kingston) |

^I haven't been for a couple of months.
We should go! The service for a large party is pretty much what you'd expect from La Bodega. It was fine. We weren't left wanting. She was pretty attentive to us. Frosty (los potatas bravas, por favor) |
