I've been told by reliable sources (my mom and my best friend who sold the damned things with me) that the Golden Oreos are EXACTLY the same as the original vanilla GG cookies.

Aforementioned best friend is still looking for a chocolate substitute. =/

As for me, I now prefer the chocolate mint ones. Frozen.
