My New Take On Unemployment:

Well, enough w/ the stress.

Now, I'm referring to it as my semi-retirement.

It makes me feel less guilty about using my RSP's.

I mean, after all, it's not like I'm going to live long enough to actually RETIRE!

So, I may as well use the funds, now, while I'm alive and need 'em.

And, ya know?...
Looking out my window at this cold, rainy Monday?
I think I can learn to chill and groove on this "time-off"...

I just recently semi-retired, although I've been considering getting hit by a car and living comfortably with a limp.

RRSPs are tax deductible. You initially pay taxes on them, but you get those taxes back at the end of the year when you file your paperwork. If you take your RRSPs out before you're 65, you pay the tax. So really, you're only paying tax once in the end.

My take on unemployment is that you're just going to fuck yourself over and the longer you don't work is the longer you'll be behind.

I cant say I regret not working a couple summers ago and drinking my face off thus maxing out all forms of credit, but it certainly was a great learning experience.

Untill you use your money, then you pay more tax.
