I was going to suggest this.
It's super easy to get jobs at resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico. And if you're lucky you'll get to work for a chain of resorts and you will get insane discounts for yourself, family members, and sometimes friends.
If I didn't already have a career on the go and a plan to move to Miami I'd be all over this!!

Tree Planting? That's not much in the way of Travel. Apply to Air Canada as a Flight Attendant.

Actually no you don't. You can take Tourism from College but it's not necessarily required. Usually the only asset you need is a second Language.

Trust me... I've been through all three Stages of Air Canada recruitment for F.A's.

Tour guide???

My cousin does this right now. She works for the Imaginative Traveler. She lives in Egypt and does tours of Egypt, Jordan and Turkey.
But later on she may have a chance at working their SE Asia destinations if she wants to.

However she did take some tourism courses and work for an adventure travel company before. But it's something to consider in the long run if you don't think the travel itch is ever going to leave you.

(She also did tree planting in Australia for about 8 months. )

be an au pair!
google it, and you'll get a site that sets you up with a family suited for you. some companies will even provide language courses if neccessary. and you can be extremely precise on what you want to be able to do like vacation wise, if you live with them or not, and the length of your contract.
you do have to like kids though.

when i hit up europe, this will be apart of my plan. plus i have two awesome references.

Okay. The reason i said that was because i have a friend taking that course, and she says that there is a crazy amount of people taking that course or waiting that course... do you think the airlines would be more inclined to hire someone whos completed that course as opposed to someone who hasn't??

Of course they'd be more inclined. It's like any job, any additional relevant training you have to the position you want will help your standing with the Employer.

Not always - sometimes that just means re-training. Most flight attendant courses are in super expensive private colleges and are really just a waste of money (I speak from experience - although a different course)

There is extensive training to become a flight attendant..classroom training can't compare.
