which do you pefer larger legal parties or smaller illegal ones?
honestly which do you prefer...i like smaller parties because i find massives fairly boring and full of annoying junkies...i got in a discussion with some friends of mine today and they were commenting how they hate illegal parties becasue there full of dumb white guys that can't dance...i laffed my fuckin ass off, i guess the prefer parties were the majority of people are too fucked up to move....whats even funnier is that they only been to one somewhat illegal party and that was kick it, a party which they said was awesome.
i don't get these kids, they like trance and rather pay more for less of a party(in my opinion) heh i like both but i like illegal parties more because there that much more fun |

I venture into that wacky area in front of the stage and I would say a great majority of them, if not all of them, are Vietnamese doing the zombie 'Circle of Death' dance.
This is my observation and I may be mistaken and I am basing this on the fact that they are speaking in Vietnamese when chatting with one another. |

usally i like smaller parties because i know im paying for the music that i like(breaks/jungle/house) and not for some chump from europe that spins music i don't like. |

I dunno..
Big parties can be annoying in the sense that there's too many people and they usually are a gong show in some senses. However, at times the bigger shows have brought in some headliners that are worth going to see. With the small number of times I've been to plaza, there hasn't been a plaza party I've been to that I wasn't completely bored at. I really really like smaller parties for several obvious reasons. However, the problem exists with the growing popularity of smaller parties, which means people who haven't been around long start flocking to them. As a result, things like checkpoints get ruined by people who just don't know any better, agro drunk people show up and start fights over petty shit, people OD, etc. It seems to be a rapidly growing problem these days unfortunately. I probably have the most fun at 19+ events like clash at the rowing club, because it's a nice venue, a decent crowd, drinks aplenty..and it closes at 3-4am which is perfect for me. M |

I would have to say i like them both pretty equally. The only shitty thing with small parties, is that if someone, OD's, there isn't too much help for them. Which doesn't happen too often. and at illegal parties, you have to worry about them getting shut down(ie sexy sexy) I like Big parties sometimes, but it's hard to have a good vibe at big parties cause there are so many people. I also think that now the big raves are attracting a younger crowd, I'm only 17 as well, but the last plaza party, we meet some girls who were 13 and 14. AHHH! So yeah, i like them both as long as the music is good! Especally Breaks!

I dislike going to big parties.
It might have to do with the fact that I dislike people in general. anyways, I know most of the people who attend smaller parties, thus it is a better overall experience. Also, at smaller parties you see less fucked up people and yes, you don't see those vietnamese people doing the swaying dance. one last thing, I refuse to pay $90 to go to a rave. that is a joke imo. I mean, in the end it's just people who are playing other people's music. The only time a dj really tempts me to go to their show is when they mc to their own sets. even then it's only a little tempting. I really have no problem with paying $15 to see a good local dj spin someone else's music. |

I would definately have to say the smaller ones... I think its better cuz u know most of the ppl there....

i don't like going to big parties, cause there's tooo many people all fucked up (nearly getting puked on sucks), the prices are outrageous, and i don't like to be up alll night.
small parties suck cause i can never find them, and they are normally illegal and get busted. give me a beer and a club anytime. |

I thought about this for a few minutes, and decided to pick smaller parties. I mean the massives (if you wanna call them that :hehe: ) have a time and place, thats once ever few months when a good one comes along. But if you really party then you have to love the smaller parties, cuz you cant thorw a good massive every week, but you can sure as hell throw a good small ones!
hello fully legal.. :) |

You all raise some very valid points... In fact, I even share in several of them!
The scene in general is shifting hence several good production companies that used to throw massives have shut down completely. I can assure you that as our city changes it by-laws around having events at clubs that Twisted as well will morph and offer all different kinds of events including some of the large productions that we are known for! Lets everyone bitch at the city though so we can have several large clubs built! These will facilitate bringing the headliners you want to see, in an environment that will allow us to have them! Peace. |

I think super-clubs would be a great thing for this city, clubs staying open till 4am is a step in the right direction, and hopefully we can eventually have something like Leciester Square in London, awesome clubs like Hippodrome, MOS, Home, etc....oh yeah....that would be sweet. When that happens, I'll move back permanently :) |
