Which Sushi Restaurant has a Decent Bartender
I need to be able to walk into a Japanese restaurant, sit at the bar, and instruct the bartender to make the following drink:
Into an 8 oz glass with ice pour: 1/2 oz Gekkeikan sake 1/2 oz gin and fill the rest with soda water. This works out to an alcohol rating of one beer. |

um it's rare to buy 1/2 oz of any alcoholic beverage. usually you have to buy about hm $25 for 750 ml of gin and $20 for 750 ml of sake.
at 15 ml / 0.5 oz, there are 50 drinks to be made. that's about $1 a drink versus $4.50-6 at a bar. not that ppl r that thirsty for that particular drink. what really brings people to a restaurant is the way the manager and staff treats customers. and yes, in some restaurants, people drink a lot of bottled water just cos the staff are friendly. so me drinking 50 drinks i made for myself is just gonna make me a closet alcoholic. if i paid a bartender $4.50 to make me a drink, i'd pay $4.50 to get him to do it next week. besides, with the alcohol content, i pay for the taste not how fast i wanna get drunk. and i just realize now why i don't like martinis -- too much alcohol. Jesus christ stop being such a diva and just order some sake or Asahi super dry.
Yes, it's true customer service is exceptionally important but being a reasonable customer is pretty damn important too. If you're so concerned about having this 'perfect' beverage, buy the ingredients and make it at home. |
