I am wondering, do they give you the money or does the money go straight to the school? and is there any money left over ?

If you have outstanding debt towards your school, they will snag some first. otherwise they cut you a check or e-transfer it right to you.

as for money left over, it depends on how much they give you (and that depends on how you filled out the paperwork, and how much they decide you need).

you can get a loan to cover the course and then the latest you can start making payments on it is 6 months after the course ends.

you can also get a loan for the cost of living while taking the course.

That is all I know about this.

just use your mom or somebody who doesn't have a lot of assets when you apply.. if your dad say has a decent amount of money/assets you'll get a letter saying you can't get shit. then if you've lived on your own for a certain period of time or you're 21somethin like that.. then you're good to go.

I think they have a clause in the contract that if you spend 22+ hours a day on FNK that they have the right to reject your application for a student loan.

So if i were you, i would format my computer and transfer it to a safe house, where you can FNK in stealth.

student loans isn't going to run a background check on your parents. in the box where it says parental contribution you type $0. NO MATTER WHAT.
