I just heard a rumor through the grape vine that Z95 had a "black friday".

Apparently the entire staff was fired and they are changing formats, either to a hip hop station or an adult contemperary...

Anyone know any more about this?

It would have been a confirmation if it came directly from someone who was "fired" or was announced directly on the radio station.

commercial radio sucks ass people.

xm sattelite radio or stfu.

i'm actualy anxious for xm to merge with sirius sattelite radio 'cause they have some really good electronic stations.

It's easy to come down on comercial radio because it dosen't appeal to your specific tastes. But the costs of simply applying for a broadcast liscence is huge. And unless a station can reach a huge demographic then it's not going to operate on a profit. IE- What happend to Z95, mojo, and why the beat changed formats.

Bitching about comercial radio is like someone with one foot bitching that you have to buy shoes in pairs. Yes, there are a few people who only have one foot, but in the long run, you ain't going to be able to run a shoe company on that.
