to pull music FROM your ipod back onto a computer?

Yes, but the filenames will all be screwed up.

Mount the device as a block, then I think it's under iTunes -> Music or something like that. Just look for all the MP3 files. Click and drag.

I *think* the iPod plug-in for WinAmp allowed you to copy music off an iPod. Anybody remember for sure?
