volunteers? you mean the city workers that normally sit at a desk who came down and did it instead?

edit : there were a lot of volunteers there too, some private trash companies pitched in as well which was awesome. the garbage cans were overflowing after the crowds left tho, and it smelled awful

Apparently some of the people cleaning up in Kits had striking city workers harassing them and calling them scabs.

Poor form. We want clean beaches, retards. Berating good samaritans isn't going to win you favour in the dispute's publicity wars.
