if your writing a paper just use a different font and adjust the size of the font... but don't overdue it otherwise it looks suspicious.

count the words on one line... then count the lines, multiply the two amounts and you'll have an approx. total

Use CTRL+F, and go to the replace tab. Replace "." with "." and change the font size from 12 to 14, it'll give you lots more length (14 page essay-17 page).

Courney, I think a 5 sentence paragraph runs around 100 - 150 words. Depending on their size. Carrie made a good point if you dont want to count them all.

A lot of instructors have a standard double-spaced, Arial 11 or times new Roman 12, standard page margins requirement so I wouldn't toy around with the font.

qft - seriously how many thousands of lazy students have tried this year in and year out? Do you really think the prof won't notice? If you can't find 5 pages worth of shit to say about your assignment (in standard 11-12 point font), then you aren't studying hard enough.
