Flu Season

Vancouver... Anyone in the work force knows that when the weather changes people get sick. And when people get sick they wait until they are totally sick before they skip work. Why? Because they don't want a prolonged sick absence to affect their job or paycheck.

But in the meantime they get everyone else around them sick too! SONS OF BITCHES! Stay home if you're visibly sick! Be considerate k?

Now i'm sitting in an incubator training room with 15 grumbling sickos as we count down to the long weekend...

I haven't gotten sick yet, and I have been taking good care of myself so that I don't get sick this season.

I will get the flu shot when it comes available.

I am self-employeed and do not get any sick days

I hate the flu... travelling to damn Alberta last week for some shows and i get back and boom... there's the flu.

I want to add to this...

I always wanted to have educational institutions re-labelled to Germ Exchange Centres.

I'm pretty damn sure if you did a DNA search, the bugs going around campus are the Great(power35)Grandbugs from the first ones that entered the buildings when they first opened.

It's just the same bug, mutating from person to person, so, once you're better, you can get the same damn bug all over again, because it's now 5 versions later!

But, sod the shot! I'd rather get sick and let my body get stronger because of it, rather than get sick by shooting a bunch of dead bugs into me, of which will have only the vaguest resemblance to anything that I'll come in contact with, 2 months down the road, thereby nullifying the whole flu-shot effort and discomfort.

Some of us don't get the leisure of staying home till we get better.. if I did that I'd prob get in shit or maybe even fired. :suspicious: All depends on where ya work I guess.. ?

know your rights. if you're a tenured (3 months +) payroll employee your employer can not fire you for being sick.
