Special Edition Monopoly

I'm contemplating buying Monopoly. I used to have it a loooong time ago and I used to love the game. I went to Toys R Us to check it out and there were like 4 special edition versions. I decided to shop around... Went downtown to Golden Age collectibles and there were 3 more versions!

Family Guy, Simpsons, Mario Brothers, Transformers, Starwars... etc. etc...

My friend who I was with said he can't play certain versions for sake of seriousness... He prefers Standard Monopoly. Anyways... What version would YOU get?

Original, and NHL Monopoly. I have both. and i also have a 3D puzzle version of the original monopoly.

What the shit is this? Electronic banking monopoly?!?! Mocking friends and family members by handing them $1 bills is one of the great joys of monopoly. And of course, the paranoia that the banker could be cheating is one of the key's to monopoly's competetive nature.


What the hell?

Monopoly is about learning important life lessons. How to budget, plan, save and of course cheat older, slower family members out of their money. Without the ability to cheat, victory is not as sweet. I have morals, so I wouldn't feel right about cheating family and friends out of money, but monopoly let's me vent this pent up desire to steal my parent's money.

Adding electric banking is a crime that should be punished by death.

I kind of think that the version you get reflects what kind of person you are a tad. Like, cultural interests or sense of humor.

I think I'm gonna get the Family Guy version. That or BASS Fishing =}

I kind of like the City ones... for example "Vancouver". But I can be a real geography nerd like that and like to see how they compare the city we live in.

I get really frustrated with Monopoly. Because when ever I start to take over and Monopolize... everyone one else quits before I can concur the full on board :(
