Fixing Zippers on Sweaters

I got a hoodie off Ebay and it came with the Zipper broken (the zipper zips up and down, like its attached but it doesnt zip closed. it zips up but the zipper isnt attached the way a zipper should). *best way I can describe it I guess :embarrest:*

Anyways, the guy from Ebay isnt returning my messages to return the sweater and since its limited edition I was wondering if it could just be fixed.

i tried googling how to do it or w/e but nothing is describing the problem I have. I was curious if it CAN be fixed and if so where would I take it...

I dont really know what time of person would fix something like this.

Take it to a place that does alterations.

They can fix it for cheep... but make sure to stop by Fabric Land to pick out a zipper that matches exactly.

Its a custom zipper so im hoping its just the clamp that is loose.

i have a hoody that im too lazy to fix so i keep it zipped up and and pinned and i just pull it over my head lol. you can always take it to a friend who sews or take it to a place in the mall or something like stitch that will fix it for like 20$

Its not a plastic zipper and replacing it isnt an option as its a custom sweater.....hence the difficult zipper situation.

any tailor/seamstress should be able to fix it, if it cannot be fixed or returned to the seller I would recommend replacing it.

It's a zipper, if you take it to an experianced person, they can replace it without it looking like it doesn't belong.

The reason I dont want to replace it is because its a double zipper (a) and (b) it has the CHL pull on it.

The lady I took it to fixed one of the two zippers. the one going from the bottom up zips now but the one going from the top down doesnt. So hes just going to have to be really careful.

yeah the zipper on my brand new rocks broke after a night of drunken fun. its just been sitting there, i have no idea how to get em fixed.
