If I'm in the states I find myself steadily hankering for a real beer. Even their imports are a little off. Only thing I'll order down there anymore is Heineken.

In Australia I had to show them the back of our coins to prove Canada was indeed apart of the commonwealth and not apart of "over in America". They found it hard to believe.

Getting away from all those things and adapting to a new culture is probable what I like the most about traveling. Either you learn to adapt, appreciate what you have at home, or learn that its really not that important. Its a win win situation. But if I had to choose anything, it would be an endless amount of travel funds.

haha awsome feed back guys! I can DEFINITELY agree that some of the comfiest beds I've slept in have been in hostels. I dunno whether its the train seats for 10 + hours and the sketchy eurail train-beds that make a hostel bunk so much more inviting or what it is lol

When I was in italy I was craving some good canadian food cuz i got mighty sick of thin crust pizza and panini. lol

Also, when I was living in the U.K I really could have done ANYTHING for a REAL burger. PROPER with all the fixins for less than 8quid!

I thikn weed can fit into *other* hehe (Not being cocky, just mentioning as suggestion :))

This is a myth. The US has great beer. You just have to know what to look for. They actually have more choice than we do in canada, but you need to drink the local microbrews.

Seattle has:
  1. Fat Tire Amber Ale - Home of New Belgium Brewery, Fat Tire Beer, and the Tour de Fat
  2. Pike Tandem Double Ale or Kilt Lifter Ruby Ale - The Pike Brewing Company
  3. Pyramid Amber Weizen - Pyramid Breweries - The Alehouses - Seattle
I prefer the selection i get in seattle and really look forward to heading there just for the beer. You can get Fat Tire in most convenience stores (at least in seattle). It's one of my favourite beers.

This is very true, I've come across some great micro brews all through out the states.

The only thing I miss every time I'm in Miami is Tim Hortons. Not having my steeped tea in the morning is weird...
