QUESTION: DVD recorder...

I did some googling but i couldn't find the answer I needed. I was hoping it would be faster to ask the forum.

I bought a SAMSUNG DVD/vhs recorder that allows you to both record vhs-to-dvd/dvd-to-vhs as well as record tv to vhs/dvd. Anywyays, I was recording my VHS to dvd, and it worked. I can play the dvd that I recorded using the dvd player function on the samsung dvd/vhs recorder, but when I try to play that exact DVD on my laptop, it comes up as a "blank disk".

I am confused:S. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do?

There's a reason Samsung's prices are like half everybody else's.

Are you using DVD-R or DVD+R? Have you tried using the other?

The thing is, Samsung seemed to be the only option available at futureshop. There only seems to be a limited number of brands that allows both vhs to be recorded to DVD (vice versa). I don't know of any other options...

I am using DVD+R. I only have DVD+R :|

How does that work? I'm pretty sure I followed the steps on the manual and that it would have done it automatically.

i will have to reread the manual.
