Snowboard Gear Upgrades

ahh, look at the snow on the mountains! I hear whislter opened today! And all of the snowboard sales are over and done with this week.

Anyone do any purchases for the upcoming riding/skiing season? New board, boots, binding, jacket, etc...?

I'm thinking of picking up some new goggles (shaun white oakley a-frames) and maybe some new boots. I already have a sweet ride and nice gloves from last year. Anyone seen or picked up some cool new shit?

I will probably only going skiing a few times..but since it was all with a 50% off staff discount..im ok with that!

Renewed my Whistler edge card, gettin my Team Thirty-Two's baked next week. Looking for a new jacket and definitely gonna pick up a pair of Oakley Seth Morrison - Crowbar Series'.

Seriously can't wait to get some fresh tracks in.

Maynards on 2nd near the Cambie bridge has a bunch of Westbeach stuff for 1/2 off. Jackets, pants, etc.

I got a $300 jacket for $150.

BAAAAYYYMMMM!!!!! New Goggles for the season =) I'm a little unsure as to how dark these lenses actually are though.. I want to use them for night riding and the pics on ebay look like they're pretty translucent. But the pic on oakley doesn't look as easy to use for night riding..

checked out maynards on sunday. they bumped it up to even 60% off...bf got a sweet jacket, for dirt cheap. too bad i bought mine int he states a few weeks ago :(. i saw a few jackets i wanted, but 1 jacket is really enough.

I went to a review site for oakley lenses and these VR50's are for low level lighting. The emerald iridium allows a 46% light transfer and improved optical contour definition. =} I think they'll be OK but the oakley site does display them much darker to flaunt the iridium coating. I do ride during the day too whenever I'm up at whistler too.

Bebu, your going to have a blast with your new set up. Save on the jacket, get more shoes.

i dont want to hate on local stores but ordering online is much much cheaper

if you want to save a few bucks go to a local store pick something out and try it on so that you know the fit is right (ie. boots), remember the brand+model, then go look for it online.

Yeah for sure. I actually got these goggles on ebay for hella cheap. $120 + shipping. =)

but i did do exactly that. I went into the store, found some a-frames to test out. and as soon as i got to work. I placed a bid. and won!
