I started it this morning before class and I'm almost done it. I can honestly say I hate Stephen King's work; I cannot put this book down. This is an exception to the rule on all accounts. Even my own writing has improved since this very morning just by absorbing this book.

I'm hooked.

Was hooked into the first three books, but after that I lost interest. Felt the overall storyline began to drag somewhat, and haven't picked it up since. Maybe I will some day.

Just remember: Blaine is a pain.

if you don't like being disappointed i suggest you put that series down.

I'll have to see for myself. My friends have always held them in high regard but they're all King fans to begin with. Someone had left it in my work truck so I started reading it after I finished the four books I brought out to camp with me. If the opening line had have been any different, I might not have been as interested. Intrigued through-and-through the first sentence in.

it seemed like he wrote the fourth book because he had nothing else to think about and the last three books were just really quickly done.

Hey tiedye, if you're not a fan of King, read The Eyes of the Dragon. It's basically a Stephen King fairy tale. It's the awesome. It also features Randall Flagg. :)

I read Stephen King's book "On Writing". I got through it until about the part where he started preaching about how alcohol has zero redeeming value in literary works... and then goes on to confess about how he can't even remember writing one of his best novels.

I really hate to say it, but he was way better on the bottle.
