Cheap place to flash a phone's memory?

Hey guys, I need some help.

I got a motorola SLVR L6 that has a security lock on it, and I've forgotten the code for it. Note, this is the security code, NOT the carrier-unlock code.

I've looked around for a place that will be able to clear out the memory and I have two options. One place says they can do it for $35 but they have to send it away which will take 2 days. Another place can do it in-house but says it'll cost $50. Now I know that I can buy the software online for about $15, so that's always a fallback, but rather than have to borrow a friend's CC to make it happen, I'd rather just pay someone to do it.

Anybody know any shops in town that'd be able to do it in-house and not have it cost half a hundred dollars?

Remember, I'm not looking for an unlock code, rather I'm looking to reset the phone to its factory defaults.

Well, found a program for lunix peeps like me called Gammu. Seems to be what I'm looking for, next step is off to generic to pick up a mini usb cable.

Well, that's a pickle.

Used the unimoto and managed to retrieve the code, so I got into it. Then I cleared out the information so as to remove the lock, and now I can't get it going in Unimoto again. It kind of recognizes it but will only load it in the AT section, not the PK (where I can retrieve the code again). Now the phone is working BUT I can't lock the keys because I didn't write down the unlock code, and it won't let me lock the keypad or change the code without the old one.
