While this seems radical it really is a part of a dominant economic ideology. Neoliberalists are against state intervention including subsidizing industries and social spending.
from later in that wiki entry "Some minarchists use utilitarian arguments. They might use theoretical economic arguments, like Ludwig von Mises's contribution to Austrian economics, or statistical economic research, like the Indices of Economic Freedom." So appropriating this concept is a dangerous slope because of how vague it is about the role of state and the individual. If anything, states should intervene when big business, like the media or MNCs, starts monopolizing industries that influence people in many ways. |

Human greed tends to plague theoretical concepts like that. I didn't even consider the effects it would have on business, but like I said, implementing it wouldn't be easy. Perhaps at this point in time, it wouldn't be possible. With nobody to step in and intervene on corporations, all economical hell would break loose. The consumer would be at their mercy.
