So I was flipping through channels, and stumbled upon a show where some rich kids from north america went to an extremely poor country in Africa.

What they were doing was 1 task that a normal African mother from a certain village had to do every day, 3 times a day.

They had to carry a massive water jug, that would be pretty intense for an average built male, down a steep hill of jagged rocks, and then all the way back to their huts (1-2 km's away).. and they did this 3 times a day for their family.. and they were elderly women..

this white kid did it 1 time... and he was bitching and complaining the entire way back from the river... talking about how he might give up and ask someone for help to carry it back for him etc etc...

and once he gets there... he goes up to the mother he brought it for... looks her dead in the eyes, and says "I understand what your life is like"



hahahahahaha... probably the funniest fucking thing i've heard in all of 2007

The sad thing is through this one act, and seeing that mother that kid understands more about the hardships in that country then you will ever know or pretend to know.

Being worldly is really easy when you don't have to leave the house.
