Richmond beat out a city in Japan a couple years ago for city in the world with the longest life expectancy. Asians in low polluted areas just live longer. Diet and exercise probably have a lot to do with it.

The major reason japan is number one is their diet, when i go shopping and look around I don't have many unhealthy choices unless your in a connivence store. That being said, these people are the only ones who refer to drinking as their only hobby on a regular basis. Also younger japanese have a serious love of fast food, i can easily see japan falling in the next twenty or thirty years.

Japan also has the longest lasting marriage rate. They believe this is due to the lack of talking and conversation between a couple.

Western fast-food diets have been linked to increasing diabetes in places such as Africa as well. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened or is happening in Japan.
