Does an employee pay fed tax, ei, or cpp on vacation paid to them?

all taxes are deducted from any vacation paid out

jim, I believe a sebatical is after 7 years.

rawb, you're very lucky that your company offers you more vacation time then they are required to give you. lots of companies don't do that.

Yeah most of the shit is really easy to figure out on the bc employment standards but I didnt see anythign on tax deductions for vacation pay.

Maybe they took off the taxes before they deducted your vacation pay throughout the year?

you should only be able to deduct any taxes on money paid out.

all earnings, vacation, bonus, commissions etc should be taxed as they all are on box 14 of your t4

I'm happy with my two week vacations every three weeks.

I get 4 weeks standard and then we shut down over the christmas break so really it's 5 -5.5 :)

Plus floater days and stat days aaaaaand the weeks I work 40 hours in 4 days instead of 5. I basically take either 6-7 days off per month straight, plus my regular days off. I love my bosses :)
