unfortunately, I'm one of the people that cant help but freak out if I get less then 95%... which is ALSO pretty annoying. :notrust:

Hopefully that'll stop soon. In my short time after finishing post secondary, I have never been asked what my grades were. Freaking out over non failing grades is unnessesary.

i can only say i dropped out of college because i lost my job.

otherwise i'd be in university right now being a career student, had i known you can delay repayment of student loans in perpetuity by staying in school.

edit: but i only learned that recently after the crappy experience with CDI and the old student loan setup between the gov't and banks.

Well it will matter if you want to pursue further oppurtunities relating to your educationsl experience - ie med school/grad school/law school. Some high-level jobs also do ask for gpa's and look upon involvement with the school or extra-curricular activities with high-regard.

Also, by requirement, I needed a minimum 60% to transfer from SFU to UBC but realistically to beat other transfer students I think I at least NEEDED a 70%. If you want to get involved with co-ops or certain exchange programs sometimes you need a certain GPA.

Good grades do help :)

Courtney, your essay answers require more than just too words. You need to expand your answer with examples, go into great detail, and give reason to why your point is right.

The best part about Courtney short posts is how the rest of the board manages to make her simple post into soo many other topics and issues.
