BlackBerry Pearl latest version of software is bloatware
Anyone else notice that the latest version of the BlackBerry Pearl Media Manager (v4.3) now comes integrated with a really bloated Roxio Media Manager application?
It takes up like 200MB (whereas before the app was only like ~10MB)... and they give you no choice as to whether you want to use the Roxio application or not. I'm going to get rid of this crap and downgrade to the previous version. BlackBerry is selling out to shit software/advertising companies... *sigh* Last edited by FireWire; Feb 05, 08 at 04:57 PM. |

^ I'm not talking about programs on the phone itself or the choices that it offers. I'm talking about the application needed for managing media files on your phone (which needs to be installed on your PC)... the BlackBerry Media Manager. That shit used to be clean... but now it's laced with a shit program by bloat-specialists 'Roxio'. It had to be BlackBerry who accepted their partnership to make it happen... no one was forcing them to allow an external company to modify their core software.

^ Of course I don't use it - I uninstalled it as soon as I realized that they integrated other shit into it.
Back to the simple v4.1 for now. And I don't have a media card... so I only use the internal memory (which requires the Media Manager). I'll get a media card soon though! |
