So jealous^^^me and a friend were just talking earlier about how much we would like to see Egypt and Greece. I'm going to try and get a leave of absence from work for a couple months next year and go backpack around to some places i need to visit.

^^Athens, Rome, Venice this year and next year Egypt. super excited! i love having a bf who loves to travel. it will be an experience i get to take with me for a life time :) i haven't done much traveling so it will be super exciting especially since its with someone who travels all the time who ive known for over 12 years. all i have been doing is research every night on the computer and i have a lonely planet book ordered on its way to my place. apparently aug is the worse month to go its like 40 degrees and in Athens everything shuts down in aug cause its so hot (which is when im going yikes). may and oct are the best months to go if your going ;)

bad thing is i might have to find a new job when i get back cause im not sure they will allow me the time off since im new. going anyways haha. a job is easy to find. a life time experience doesnt come often.

Agreed.

That's why i don't mind taking a few months my union has my back haha. I've always been super into history and geography that's why places like that appeat to me so much. I'm not so much into the partying vacation i've done that and it wasn't very exciting.

I was going to go some place at the ens of the month but i won't be able to get a passport in time. :(

^^you can get it rushed for the passport ;) surrey is open on saturdays and you can get it back in under 2 weeks if you tell them you have to leave right away

as for the history YES :) that's why i chose those place to go. ever since i was little i have wanted to go see ruins etc. might have been the Indiana Jones sort of fantasy hahaha

^take decongestants with you on the flight and pop one ~1 hour before each time you land. a cold can really fuck with your congestion + ear canal pressure - decongestant dilates your ears.

a cold sucks but unpopped ears while landing is one of those things you never want to go through. it hurt so much it made me barf and do the stevie wonder pain-dance.

omg, yes pls!! There was so much we wanted to do but didn't have a chance to- like the Jim Henson exhibition at the Science Fiction Museum, and the underground tour. I can't wait to go back down!

Nope, mines with westjet at 7am, which i am just realizing sucks since there is no transit or shuttles to the airport that early so i may have to drive and pay the stupid 15$ a day parking. How long are you going to New York for and what are you doing there?

I'm in New York until the 7th.

I basically grew up back and forth between Vancouver and there.

I'm heading back to be the bestman at my brother's wedding.
