VANDAME!!....i met him at playland too!...it was in september '93 at my friends birthday party. we spotted him and his gf at the arcade and then he showed off for us on the punching bag game. he was in town filming timecop.

flash forward a hour later and me and my buddy get in line at the log ride and who is infront of us?...VANDAMM

so, longstory short i rode the logride with him and his girlfriend. he asked me what my favorite movie of his was. obviously i said CYBORG cause thats by far his best work (lol) and he was super impressed by this and said 'REALLY??? not universal soldier?" ,wich would of been the obvious and typical answer cause that was a mega hit for him at the time...but im a true fan. my knobby buddy on the other had kept calling him frank dukes.

after the ride he signed my seattle mariners baseball hat i was wearing.

that was a epic birthday party.

I got to watch Ahnuld do a crazy car stunt at SFU when they were filming The Sixth Day up there.

It was pub night, so after he got out of the car everybody cheered, so he flashed his bicep to the crowd.

I shook DJ Assault's hand at Gay Denny's once. True story.

I was an extra on that film. I got in a scene with Sir Ian (not "with" him, but I was close) and I got to talk to him. I told him "man, that speech you did in Lynn Valley was awesome. I got so stoked, I started beating the shit out of the guy next to me." He just said "did you?" all incredulous like and walked away, never to return... and I felt shame. I'm 6'7 and I thought I was talking to Magneto, but I was really talking to a frail, gay senior citizen as a behemoth who kicks people asses when he gets excited. He was probably right to walk.

I also got to talk to director Brett Ratner (Family Man, Rush Hour) for a second. He told me to take a run at Colossus in the shot where the Xmen are all standing in a line. I said jokingly "you want me to fncking take him out when I get there" and punched the air a few times. He thought I was serious and explained to me very slowly that he just wanted me to run past him. That guy was a complete LA douchebag. He spent most of the shoot hitting on Famke, waving his pudgy beer gut in her face, and trying to manipulate the female extras. He actually told some of them "out of all the people on this set, I chose you." Way to sell it, buddy. That's why he got hit with a half dozen sexual harassment suits after filming wrapped.
