My old CM2 battery is the cause of the loss of EVDO connexion due to the fast discharge rate.

Also the $10 recharger for Blackberrys does not work. Rather, the Pearl 8130 sucks the juice out of it.

I heard the retail price for the 1250 mAH battery is $45. The 1900 mAH battery is $30+

I found a supplier for the 1900 mAH battery selling them for $25 each.

The loss of EVDO appears to be related to the 64 MB of memory cos when it's less than 1MB left, the internet cuts out.

And no, the RIM OS, a variation of PALMOS specific for Pearls, cannot be programmed to put a swap drive on the SDcard. It should, but it only sees internal memory as Ok to use.
