I decided to go with fritz's suggestion and get the dell xps m1330.

After upgrading the memory, hard drive, and getting the three year warantee, it came to a little over $1400 USD (no tax, and no duty because I didn't claim it at the border). Pretty good savings when compared to the one I priced out on the dell.ca website.

I'm using it right now, and so far, I really like it.

And no, I didn't get it in pink. They only had the Tuxedo Black option at the store.
