- Horrible spelling - Lack of funny - Replying to himself because nobody else will Can you just stop? I'm fine with you having your opinions, but people can only take so much of the same methods time and time again. We get it, you hate hippies and think you are the most hilarious person alive. I've read your post a few times and I still can't really figure out what your point is. Just give up and join society because it's good for you? I hate to admit it, but there's a really big world outside of Abbotsford you should see. If you think protest has done nothing for society then how do you explain Ghandi? The civil rights movement? The women's rights movement? modern labour laws, etc? I consider myself leaning a little further right than a lot of people on this board, but I seriously cringe everytime I read any politically minded posts from you these days :( |

i think rawb needs some kleenex and a big bad huggo.
anywhore,i only watched the first 30 mins of the first zeitgeist and should probably go back and finish the rest. Maybe then Ill watch the second one, although pretty sure I dont need a tinhat doc to break down the sham that society is.Kinda figured that out during a methpiphany when i was 18. |

how about, I don't give a fuck.
there's more important and realistic things to achieve in our day to day. I gots a degree in sociology, i have a pretty good understanding of how fucked up society is. The reason why is because its comprised of humans and in general were all pretty fucked up. there is nothing that will ever change that fundamental fact. also i really like swearing even if it makes me look like an ignorant moron. My voice will not be heared. Your voice will not be heared. There will not be another Ghandi. Bono is trying his best, our Prime Minister will not even meet with him. Did Live 8 do anything? No. For myself I choose not to care, and try to live the best life that I can live. Too much of a headache to care about all the injustice in the world. It's not my role to play. I know what's going on, I'm not stupid. Just bad at spelling. What are you doing to save the world? |

This is why being a proud part of the system is bad. Because you get too easily blinded by the shiny objects and you pay no attention to how the system actually works, you just believe all the whitewash.
On the flipside though, being too far detached from the system leads you to believe wild and ridiculous theories as to how the system works, and being just as off-base as those completely enveloped in it. Balance is key, as always. Without the system, there is no rebellion. Without rebellion, there is no need for a system. |

bono is the worlds biggest turd. maybe hes doing good stuff and donating money and blah blah blah, but its not africa he cares about feeding so much as his ego. cant really say i blame stephen harper for not wanting to meet with him. just saying.

Who is at the forefront of political activisim? I'm pretty sure most people in the world know who Bono is and what he is doing and what kind of meetings he is having with world leaders. He is the only one I can think of who has a very big voice and is not a politician. He's always in the news.

dude's talk about incentives....does anyone here believe it? Throw up why you think any part of it is accurate. Do you also believe 100% of things will be automated? Even if they reach the goal of 90%, how do you decide who does that 10% of jobs, in a society where nobody "should have to work". There would need to be incentives to do those jobs, which would create inequality. edit: the thing about if everyone had the essentials, everyone would be fine/there'd be no crime. Well no, in life there exists more than essentials. Who gets a Lexus and who gets a Kia? Do we go and give everyone the same car and the same materials? I hear that system didn't work. They say they have the resources to produce goods for people without monetary system, but that would have to mean everyone in the world gets 1 of everything, otherwise inequality occurs, and thus you'd still have crime even without a monetary system. WTF
Instead of conceding you've managed to dig yourself a larger hole; time for a history lesson son. First rule of order: When you're wrong the first thing you do is learn how to shut FK up and listen, you may actually learn something. Now with that out of the way, Bono is a politically active ROCKSTAR! He sells ipods! Meets with heads of state, is active with his various humanitary efforts (good for him), and was probably a few singles away from being an IRA target. Furthermore he almost always ties his concert aids to launch with new albums... coincidence? Gandhi was a minimalist, a spiritual guru, only an ascended master gets the title mahatma... he enjoyed cotton weaving and fasting to make his points. He had interactions with various occultists based in the Theosophy Society, and was the voice of the impoverished people of India. The main reason for his international recognition was due to british rule over India and his pivitol role for negotiations with the British elite. So, once again ... iPod selling rockstar vs spiritual Guru Ya impure just ya |

Yeah, the whole first part was really an extension from the first "Z". Although, much more analytical and detailed.
Yeah, I had my reservations about the 2nd part. It _did_ raise some interesting points, but, a few points were starting to sound a li'l like the "What the *bleep* do we know"-sorta cultish-sounding tidbits. However, it's easy to see it will feed a very hungry New-Age group's want for social change. Mirroring the warlords' lust for Armaggedon by bombing Jeruselam to bring on a planet-destroying world-war, on a different plane, the New-Agers perceive a massive shift in consciousness, through a world-wide financial melt-down. Decry the flick if you want, but, they DO score points against the biggest criticism: "Well, sure! You can point out what's WRONG! But, do you have any solutions about how to "fix" it?!?!" _THIS_ flick, in point, at least offers some suggestions. How many posters in this thread have done that?.... hmmm?....
