Life goals.... what would it take?
what would it take for you to be happy with what you have done with your time on earth?
so that when the day comes where you don't have much time to live, you can have the feeling that you accomplished whatever it is that you wanted to do with your life.. is it raising kids? is it traveling the world? is it becoming a millionaire and partying like a rockstar? |

i'm not sure what it is but i believe getting my law degree is one thing that would bring me closer . it would give me a voice, one that people would listen to and respect people don't give a damn about what i say now. i could then go on a crusade like my uncle has now that he's retired from his seat in the BC supreme court. he's attacking our judicial system and trying to stop criminals from becoming criminals by going to kids who are on that path and re-directing them.
i want to change the public view of homelessness. when people understand more the elements involved, only then can proactive action be taken on the homeless issue that's being ignored by the population. other than that i want to train a couple nice horses, the kind people who don't have horses will remember, like secretariat and have at least one child and then foster/adopt one, maybe more depending. -having seen the world for what it really is via travel, education and living abroad..and feeling satisfied enough to settle down somewhere.
-having a wife and possibly my 1.7 kids -a rewarding career in the public sector and enough $ to retire comfortably |

im pretty happy as i am now.
and whatever will be in the future.. i know i will be happy then too. i dont want to set goals that might change, and become unhappy that i didnt hit certain things before i died. i just want to enjoy the life that i have. know that it could be better but it could be worse, but be content with what i have. and work towards small short term goals that could eventually lead into something bigger, maybe way off tangent, but equally as fulfilling or momentarily filling but just as important. |

I don't think life is about being happy all the time..that is unrealistic
I think life is about learning and getting personal fufillment along the way. I can't specify exact measurements of what I want because life is constantly changing and what you want one year may completely change the next. I know I want to travel I know I want a career I know I want a family, but I know I want a lot more than that too. It is good to set goals but it detrimental to plan your whole life, because chances are you can never live up to your expectations exactly. So I just want to live my life to the fullest and If at the end of the day I have done that then I will consider my life to have been a successful one. |

It's one thing to be happy that your life matches what you feel is required to be happy.
It's just plain silly to try and condemn someone simply because they don't have the same set of values you do. Kind of like getting into a cab and mocking the driver because you think you're better off then him. It's just sad. But here's to those who realize that your life goals might be different then someone else's, and is a better person for it... |
