fixing dreams
ok...I have been having really crazy dreams I won't go into too much detail but at first I liked them but now it just seems to be pretty much the same thing dreamt in different ways....and its just a take on the reality of it....Are there dream therapists or something that you can go to that can actually help to change the focus of your dreams? I don't really want to just go to some random therapist because I don't think theyde know much

lol... most unwanted dreams aren't something you would want to think about, but if its reoccurring in some form or another perhaps you should think about it. Try to dissect it a bit. It's worth a try at the very least if its bothering you this much

I thought you said you weren't going to talk about it...
You obviously need to get it off your chest, and clear the air. Call up a good friend, someone who's known you for years and vent. Any good friend would be willing to have a long talk over a drink if you need it. |

Point is you shouldn't look to a therapist as the answer, because they never are. They are simply a means to find your own answers. You don't need a therapist to get over a familial loss. Friends and family are often used in those cases by most people. Therapists are just more aware of the common pitfalls that people fall into and so can steer you clear of those. But they're never the ultimate solution. Ain't nobody taking care of yourself other than you, no matter how much you pay them to. |

This is all in speculation but I'm assuming you have been having dreams of your dad? A loss like that is overwhelming, it's hard to really deal with on your own. I find those sort of dreams will occur when you try to avoid thinking or dealing with your emotions in regards to the situation. Dreams can be very intense, especially on such an emotionally touchy subject. I find it helps to write it out and try to figure out why you think you've been having the dreams, what is triggering them. They probably will never fully go away, nor do I think you would really want them to...
