I heard the buzz about this guy....
And, when I found out I'd be able to check out his set @ Pemberton Fest, well, it was a no-brainer: I had to be in the tent.

I gave it a realllly honest listen, and I just didn't see what was getting people off?

It was pretty boring ol' chug-a-lug, go-nowhere, do-nothing housey kinda shyte.

Whatever.

But, then, buddy sends me a link of his review of deadmau5's latest album.

I thought parts of it were downright bloody hilarious!

It also fell in line w/ my own opinions, which surprised me, being one who doesn't know a lot about artists and titles.

He found a formula and stuck to it.

TBH, I saw his set on Friday and I was more impressed than I expected. I only caught like the last 45 mins or so of his set though, and when I got there he was playing stale electrance... got a lot dirtier later on though and I was digging it towards the end. From what I heard though the electrance I caught the tail end of had been the basis of all of his set that I missed, so I'm kinda glad I showed up when I did.

i hear that. theres a thing or two thats missing from is tunes.. most of them lack the ability to jump out at me (maybe more of a tech house feel would be good like marty said). to me they sorta blend in with most other average/decent electro.
not that thats a bad thing, cause a good electro tune is still a good tune... but i wouldnt hype over it.

Random Moog Square + the same shape but off-set it +7 semitones, add a sidechain to generic kick and a clap, use the same builds every single time and give it a dumb name.
