whats wrong with single parents anyways?
I'm sure theres quite a few ppl that were brought up with single parents and theres NOTHING wrong with that.. plus if that barbie is single.. with a child... doesnt that mean it seperates the boy from the men? |

I think that walmart in a sence was right to take them off the shelves.
Because little kids do find Barbie as some kind of role modle (the horror) and if they see one that is pregnant they might think it's ok to just go out and get pregnant. They may get the wrong idea out of it, they'll think it's all find and dandy and that everything will turn out ok and happy but the truth is that it doesn't always happen like that. And kids don't realize that, unless of course their parents sit them down and talk to their kids about it but i highly doubt that parents would take the "hard" way out, waiting for the stores to take them off the shelves is the easy way. Besides most parents just really wouldn't like to talk to their 2-8 year old about how one gets pregnant and the consequences that may follow by getting/being pregnant. But then i guess it could teach the kids a thing or two about life... I just think that they should consider all aspects of it before they decide to take them off the shelves or keep them on. |
