Do you believe in projecting?
Sometimes you go into work with a really good attitude. You think to yourself, i'm gonna make today awesome. You put a little extra bounce in your step. You tell yourself that you'll make everyone around you's life a little brighter by putting a little more effort.
And in that day you run into someone who is feeling negative. we all have those mondays. They're prety sure their day will be shit. Conversations are bitter and short. They keep to themselves and scoff at anything good. Do you believe in this? Or do you believe that good/bad days come and go regardles of how you think. I met people who tell me things happen if you can clearly visualize them happening. If something bad happens it's because you expect it! that's a bit mystical though. Could it be real? Or a by product of your behavior and mind set? |

postive thinking and intention are very powerful tools for gettin what you want from life. If you want something and can visualize it and take the necessary steps to get there you'll get what you're looking for.
with that said... people also have good days and bad days. The glass is half full thing doesn't work for all problems because once in awhile the world serves you up a fat glass of shit, and the only way to deal with it is to be miserable until things seem a little sunnier. |

I believe in projecting ... (I think my 'signatures' some-what show this.. heh) ... I know that if I feel crappy when I wake up, my day is pretty much shot - unless I push myself to think that things aren't really so bad, then things actually do get better .. ... I heard somewhere (maybe in my own mind).. "Believe in something enough, it'll be/come true" .. I guess this could be said about religions, heh! .. Something like.. Mind over matter, I suppose. |

I personally have found that the better my morning is, the more likely it is that my day with be absolute shit.
It's like, say each day I get 10 "Good Day" points. If my morning is awesome, I use up 5 points first thing. Once the other 5 points disappear (which is usually before noon), the rest of my day falls apart. Seriously. It's science. |

I think your attitudes/behaviour can influence what happens in life and how people percieve you..but at the same time, I also believe life can throw you curveballs and how you react to them can really shape who you are as a person (you know, the kind of stuff that builds 'character').

all energy is contagious, negative or positive. i believe in trying to exude positive energy and putting a lot of effort into the things that need to get done. even in the situation where you are part of a team and one debbie downer seems to be weighing everyone down, there really needs to be one person that can shift the balance back to someplace positive.

I don't know if you would call this projecting, or simply common sense.
If you approach your day with a positive attitude, you have a far better chance of good things happening simply because you are treating those around you better, you are more concentrated on what you are doing because you're not worrying about negative things. And whoever referenced the secret needs to get their head checked... |

For instance, if I were to start my day by saying I have unlimited good points because I have water, food, music, friends and family I might not be as phased by the little good and bad points that come up during my day... |

i don't necessarily mean being an optimist vs pessimist.
If you set yourself the goal of making it to hawaii (or renting that perfect apartment), and you can really see yourself doing it. You can. This ties into being positive. Because you'll set yourself goals to save money, schedule time to do it, etc. instead of talking yourself out of it. As well, can certain things around you slide in your favor to assist you..? simply because you can envision your end goal? |
