math question for you smarties

ok hey i need some help figuring out something...

so basically heres the question

in my course i had 3 assigments worth 30 percent and one worth 10

so in the first assignment i got 75%
the second i got 65%
the one worth 10% i got the entire 10
lets say on my last assignment i got 0 percent
what would my percent be in the course?
what would it be if i got 50% on the last assignment?

(.75 * 30) + (.65 * 30) + (1.00 * 10)

22.5 + 19.5 + 10 = 52%

You are at 52% of the course, a 50% mark on your last assignment would put you at 67%.

thanks rawb! i actually meant 78 but thats good cuz basically i need 68 in the class to pass but i know i got better than 50 % i was putting that as worse possible scenario and since i got 78 not 75 i should be all goood

Dammit I could have done this. =(

On an entirely uninteresting side note, when I'm doing these calcs I decimalize the percent an assignment/test is worth, instead of the percent achieved on the assignment/test

IE 75 * .3 instead of .75 * 30

They work out to exactly the same thing, because of math.
