question fro ppl who dye their hair!
alright right now ive got red and blonde streakz but i godda dye it back brown asap cuz i dont have enough money to do anything else...but if i dye my hair on my own will it not work since ive got blonde in it? or will it turn some nasty ass colours?!!
help me out plz! thanks.

My hair was fucked up once and from what people were telling me, you can pretty much always go darker.

okay if your blonde is semi natural it will be okay
if it is like white bleach blonde, it might go a lil nasty you can always go darker, but the areas where you have blonde, will just turn out a diff shade of brown (ie lighter) im sure itll look better than what you have now? (just by how you described it) =)

You can go darker but not the other way around.
If you want to make sure it works well then bleach it first then go with the brown. IMO, the brown should cover up the red you have or at least have auburn.

Brown will dye fine over blonde. It shouldn't turn some nasty ass colour unless something goes seriously wrong (which i highly doubt would)
if your going to dye it dark, just make sure you get a dye which is permanent. semi-permenent will start to come out and will probably look shitty after a while (unless you redye in 4-6 weeks or something) Just get a nice permanent dye, a nice brown (for you) and it should be fine.. one more thing.. i'd lean a little more to the side of slightly reddish brown (y'know how some browns are more blondey, some are more reddish??) seeing as you have the red streaks.. incase some of it starts to come through when the newer dye fades a little... but that shouldn't be too important..

okay use a very dark brown and if ur hair is super long or thick or both u will need anywhere between 2 and 4 boxes of hair dye. If u do not dye ur hair properly some parts of the blonde wont get died over so i suggest that once all the dye is in ur hair comb through ur hair a few times to ensure that the dye covers all the blonde parts :)

my hair is down to the small of my back and last time i died my hair was last january and my hair was at the middle of my back and i had 2 use 3 boxes of dye!!!

go ask a hairdresser or even someone at like shoppers
make sure you dont get cheap ass stuff theres stuff that'll work really well for covering up bleach and such...the red will cover up fine, but sometimes the blonde can turn orangish or yellow but it should be fine

okay, so i kind of am being a hypocrite...
i dyed my hair last night, well claire did it (props to claire) uhm and i did it dark cherry something, and i have alot of hair, and we only used one box, and it turned out fine. what i like about dying, is the conditioner that comes with the loreal stuff. my hair is VERY soft, and it smells good.
