Yesterday...
I got locked in my elevator.
I had to go down to my lobby to pick up some food brought home from my roommate, and when I got into the elevator... I realized that the door closed with a huge racket. Not it's usual normal sliding action. It actually made a cracking sound as it closed. I pressed "G", but the elevator didn't move. Then, I pressed "<>" to re-open the door, but that didn't work. Then, "><"... then my floor button... then all the buttons!!! I began to panick a little and tried to pry the door open with my hands... and proceed to push all the buttons. I realized... I was STUCK! I screamed out for about two minutes hoping someone would hear me, but no one answered. All of the sudden as I was just about to pick up the emergency phone, all of the buttons in the elevator simultaneously flicked on... then off... then the elevator door, while making that cracking sound, slowly opened. I jumped out, screamed "fcuken elevator" and looked for the stairs. Just to let everyone... I get claustrophic easily, so that was no party for me. That was my yesterday.

oh good lord cece.
i had a nightmare about being stuck in an elevator like the one in your building.. and i didn't have the key thingy to choose a floor and it kept going up and down and shrinking in size... it was horrible. but your story actually happened and thats scary. lol

aaahh cece! glad you didn't get stuck in there for a long time! stairs are great..excercise! elevators are horrible.. im not usually claustrophobic, but i always get a lil scared on elevators, especially when im alone on them...i hate that little shaking feeling you get after you've reached your level.
cece..next time try the buddy system ;)

I had a similar experience when they changed the locks in my building.
They installed new locks in the garbage area and I didn't see the sign to CARRY YOUR KEYS! since the doors now lock. So I go in, throw away the garbage then I realize that I had no way out. I had no keys and no cellphone. I had to bang and yell for about 20 minutes before a tenant heard me and let me out. The part that started creeping me out was that I thought rats might start coming out of the drainage hole in the middle of the room. :gross:

That really sucks!
I always hate getting on2 elevators, I always think it's gonna close on me or something. I dunno they kinda freak me out!! Anyway, glad u weren't in there 4 along time.
