Question about providing a proper setup for a DJ
Instead of mangling a thread that was started in a different forum I wish to ask what would be worse here??
A) Being a world class DJ and looking like a chump because your set sounded like crap due to second rate equipment and setup. OR! B) Having a world class DJ get pissed off becuase the equipment you supplied is second rate and he never wants to come back since "Vancouver obviously doesn't care enough" to provide a better setup. Just curious what your thoughts would be. I know that paying enough money can nullify point "B". I personally feel that the sound does play a big part in how well a party turns out. Of course one can always pop a bunch of vowels to compensate for bleeding, elephant farting speakers. :c-tard: |

Fuck all I care about is if the DJ set up SUCKS, then the sound sucks. I hate when I get people with SHIT needles with 1 channel dead on it... one side of my PA then is quite as the DJ mixes over. The volume cuts in 1/2. (well -3db which is closer to %30 drop). Or if the neddle are warped it sound like the PA is distored and weak. Nothing I can do.
You need a good trust, with X beem mostly out of the way, 4-8 hard rubber bungy cables holding the decks so there is not phisical/hard contact with the top deck and the floor. Then a little bit of foam or some thing under the TurnTables for deck vibrations. the last is to stop bass feed back(and normal skipping),,, so I can turn up my bass with out it going nuts with feed back. Pay the extra money for your party get new needles or have a pair that's used less then 8-10 parties (or 1 sandy party). |

Well then I'd like see you pull off bringing in shitty tables for a world class DJ. Or sit the turn tables on the bass bin.... |
