Reasonable hotels in van?

if anyone can help me out.. I'm trying to sway a VERY good photographer to come to Vancouver on her vacation, and not las vegas muahaha. But she's looking for reasonable, but funky/decent hotels around here (besides the fact she has to stay in the place, she'll most likely be shooting in the hotel alot so it can't be a dump). Any names or places I can look for her?

i've only stayed at the "Hampton Inn & Suites" in Vancouver. Its definitely nice!

Check out the Sylvia hotel.

It's downtown in english bay, just off Denman street. What's nice about it is that it's not too big so it has a comfortable feeling, its a really old hotel so nice building and very well kept. Obviously a good location and view, plus a good room there is under $100 dollars a night.

Pacific Palisades is funky good.

It's got really nice decor, and it's just...COOL. =)
