Justin Bua Fans?

I'm just wondering how many people know of Justin Bua. The guy is an amazing urban artist.

I just got "The DJ" and I'm looking forward to picking up "BUA420" which is a wicked painting of a grafitti artist. Some of his other stuff is paintings of street hustlers, jazz musicians, subway scenes.

His art is very urban in style and he kind of distorts most of his stuff. He's also done stuff for music videos, CD covers and what not. The guy used to graf and was a breakdancer in an established New York crew and he brings a lot of his 'breaker' influences to his art work.

I'm guessing that a lot of you know of him and appreciate his art. I'm just wondering who else knows of him and what y'all think of his work?

i have both of those at my place.
i also have the piano man 2.

i was bidding on an original a few months ago. but it went WELL over my 5000 mark in the first 12 hours, hahaha. i think it went for 30 000 US. brutal.

reese witherspoon owns most of his originals. but justin still has the orginal DJ painting. its 150 000US. any takers? lol

regis in willowbrook mall has the dj one, and im sure because they already have that piece that they would be able to order you in the one you want.

i've got one of a black dood playing the saxomofone and i also have the dj one too.

bua420 and the piano man are my next purchases.

Try Regis. They have most of his work or they could order it in for you. They don't have 'BUA 420' yet but I'm sure it'll be coming in soon.
The big prints are usually $69.95 and the mini prints about 30 bones. 'The DJ' looks especially good in matte in comparison to the glassed over, glossy frame.

This dudes art is amazing. I put mine on layaway before chrismas and picked it up a few weeks ago. I was sooo happy finally puttin' it up in my room! It wuz defenatelly worth the investment. :kam:

They have to be fakes.... that or just inks on canvas like PHUNK says. The thing is though that Bua himself doesn't offer any of his prints on canvas, only originals. My best guess is that they're fakes, but if you want an original look w/o the cost and you don't have much dough to spend I guess that'd be all right....

^Even if they are inks they'd still be fakes though. Fake as in not issued by Bua himself. The only Bua's you can get on canvas are originals. There are the giclee's available but they're about 300 or so a piece too....

ya but the posters are reprinted in mass. so its a fake regardless.

having it printed on canvas would just look neater. and have more of a style edge to it.

A gicleé is a high quality fine art print. Using the highest quality pigments all images are printed on 100% archival coventry rag paper.
The only Bua's available as giclee's at the moment are Piano Man 1 and 2, El Guitarrista, and Como No

My Mom is really into Bua ~ she has a number of prints framed - she likes the bluesy jazzy ones - they look fabu framed i say-
i think its very interesting the way his art is progressing from one era of music to another.....
