impark parking tickets?
I got this fuckign ticket from impark. I swear they fuck u hardcore
40$ if payed wihtin 7 days 80$ after that yet most peopel get payed every 2 weeks... they aren't working for the city they are private company, and wont have as good access to plate records as city would. So im thinkin, my buddy told me plate change at icbc costs $18...So if i was to go and get new plate number and shit, i could technically get out of the parking ticket, right?

You are correct, they are a private company so you don't have to worry about the ticket. It is not like a Vancouver city parking ticket where you can go to jail if you don't pay it off as they will issue a bench warrant. My friend got pulled over for speeding and got put in jail for 3 outstanding city parking tickets.
If you don't pay Impark they just send the ticket to a collection agency which will come for it. It won't affect your credit rating if you don't pay the ticket. You can get away with a couple of unpaid tickets but I'm told that once you reach 3 unpaid tickets they will tow or immobilize your car on the spot if they find it on their property. Therefore, just don't park with Impark or if you do make sure you pay for the parking. They can't touch your car until they run your plate through their system. The sick part is if you are parked illegally (no valid payment on dash shown) on their property they can rape you for the storage fee, unpaid tickets and towing charge BEFORE they release your car back to you. The fastest way to resolve the problem is to swap off your plate for a new one.

Yeah thats what i was thinking. Do you know how much it costs? like 18$ right?
Even if they do look up the plate info already, i can just be like uhh i dont own a car with these plates.

Ya, they aren't very friendly. That's an expensive ticket though $40?? All the parking tickets from them that i've seen have been about $25..
Either way do something about it. Or they will harass you badly. They did to my sister after one ticket. They started calling here and sending letters and it just kept goingup and going up. They threatened to impound her truck if they found it blah blah and wanted a credit card number to pay for the ticket. It was so annoying. All that for one ticket. And she ended up paying about $200 to just get them off her backs.. I'd just pay it and say screw it. Not worth all that trouble.

I think it costs more than $18 to get a new set of plates. The last time I inquired about it they have to cancel your existing ones and your insurance and get new plates and insurance so it is more money than $18.
Just go into an Autoplan broker and they will give you the prices.

Cheryl, i got one in new westminster by the hospital visiting my grandpa. 120$ parking ticket from the city. Luckily it was a courtesy car :) hahah
The reason i want new plates is because my plates were uhh "stolen". They'll probably ask me if want the same plates or new ones. I say new ones.

I just called autoplan broker. $18 to replace plates and its different plates. I told them it was because when cops seized my plates they just jiggled them off not unscrewed them and now they dont screw on properly (i have to use washers). I swear if you really put your mind to it you can weasle your way out of anything haha

are you serious about the city parking tickets??!? they do that here? FUCK. i got one yesterday, but tossed it on the ground, as i did always when i got calgary tickets. but shit, i don't wanna go down cause i got pulled over for parking tickets.

I'm not making up the part about going to jail for unpaid city parking tickets.
My friend went in to jail and had to stand in front of a judge for 3 unpaid tickets. Make sure if they ask if you want to pay to get out or wait for a judgement then pay, choose PAY! Otherwise you STAY in jail until you get in front of a judge that'll make you pay anyway.

I HATE impark.
I work at an answering service, and we take their fucking meter out of order line calls, I hate it I hate it I hate it. The workers are such assholes, I talked to this one guy who asked me to look in our records to see if this certain guy had called in earlier that day to report a meter out of order and give us his plate number, I said no it doesn't look like it, and the dude was like YES! I'm gonna tow this fucker! If you park at a lot where the meter is out of order, there's a phone numer to call and we give out a verification number to put on your dash so you don't get ticketed/towed, but a lot of people don't know this and don't call, they just leave a stupid note on their dash saying they couldn't buy a ticket, and once their plates are checked if they have any outstanding fines they get towed. I feel sorry for people, so I always type in that the person payed the full amount (even if it's like 15 bucks haha) and didn't get a ticket, then I give them the verification number anyway. (but only if they dont have any outstanding fines of course) I try to screw impark out of money at every chance hahahahaha. :finger: Oh and the verification number is the same for ALL lots in vancouver, and it only changes once a day, lol, so I could theoretically park anywhere I wanted for free...
