The decision to leave Betty out is supposedly based on a survey of children in the '60s. A spokeswoman at Miles, Inc. in Indiana, the manufacturer of the vitamins, told EYE: "There actually has never been a Betty [vitamin] based on a survey when we licensed the characters. The survey with children found that Betty was on the bottom of the list. Betty was the low-ranking character."
