I'm finally cancer free!!!!

For those of you who know me, well some of you at least, you know that I've been battling with prostate cancer for the past year and a half.

It's been a pain with plenty of shots, test, ultrasounds, pills etc...
Well today after what seemed more like 10 yrs I finally got that call from the doctor.
"Shawn, we got your tests back today and we're happy to inform you that you are OFFICIALLY CANCER FREE!!!!!"

All my samples are clear and the ultrasounds showed no signs of cancer cells....

To ALL my friends who offered moral support and friendship when I needed it, and told me everything would work out when I was scared as hell I don't have the words to thank you. Without my friends I probably wouldn't have made it through this ordeal as well as I did.

Yeah, the doctor was surprised considering my age. I'm only 25 now. My grandfather is 75 I think and he has had it twice. It's rare for younger men to get it but my best guess is that it has more to do with some form of genetics. Passed on through the family.

I'm guessing that my uncles may develop it in their older years too. I wish I hadn't of had to deal with it but in the same respect I'm glad I dealt with it now while my body is young and strong rather than 40 yrs from now when i'm getting old and decrepid.

actually every male has a form of it.

it just doesn't act up in everyone.

so the age thing doesn't really matter. its just most don't get checked in that area till around that age.
