Toll on bridge from mapleridge to langley

Thats stupid, i was all excited for the bridge from langley to mapleridge being built... so i could drive over there all the time to visit dalyn and jnette and people (cause if there was a road, it would take about 15-20 min drive...

grrrr.... Hmm. i wonder if there there will be a new bus route, hope you wouldnt hafta pay a toll on that.

It would suck to have to pay a toll but in the same respect if it meant a direct route over the river it would be great. When I lived in Maple Ridge I worked in Langley. My work was less than 10km away but it took me an hour and a half to get there or more because of the Albion Ferry.

I could have driven the Surrey route or the Mission route but that would have taken me just as long with a significant expense on the gas. I would have gladly paid a small toll in order to cross quickly, and get an extra hour of sleep everyday as well as get home an hour or so earlier.

Tolls are lame but at times they are a necessary evil in order to get things done. Bottom line is that if they don't build a new crossing you STILL have to go around or use that retarded ass ferry. You pick....

if they built that bridge all the traffic on the pitt river bridge would be soooo cut down and you could actually go somewhere without having to waste half an hour trying to cross the freikan bridge.

I however would not find any convenince in that bridge, nor would the majority of people in the lower mainland, yet, we're paying.

bridges are bloody expensive to build. and im sorry, but like most of the people that already replied, i have absolutely no use for a bridge from langley to maple ridge. im all for the toll, that way the people that use it can pay for it.
