I get this email forwarded from my buddy who I am flying with to Amsterdam/France in 2 weeks time, it is from our travel agent:

The US government has taken the plane we were supposed to fly on.

Now just how fucked up is that??

The good news is I get an extra 3 hours during the layover in Amsterdam on the way home. :c-tard:

the canadian army takes air canada planes all the time. its 2x more expensive to fly a hurc full troops then it is to steal a civilian plane and use it. 4 engines vs 2 engines. cheaper on fuel.

I would understand if it was an American plane but this one isn't.

I was flying Lufthansa which is a German company, that is why I thought all of this was quite odd.

90% of the canadian and US troops going to the middle east fly through hamburg. so i guess that might be why. the only soldiers that don't are the special forces.

I guess maybe they take they plane and reemburse Lufthansa. But yeah, I didn't know the government takes away planes like that. Probable the best thing would be if you can find an itenerary that just goes through Canada and not the U.S.

If I fly out of Vancouver I layover in Frankfurt.

If I fly out of Seattle I layover in Amsterdam.
