yeah
if you do the calculation with any digit within the same 10's column, then the answer will always be the same

example:
choose 11 -> 1+1 = 2, 11-2 = 9
choose 15 -> 1 + 5 = 6, 15-6 = 9

choose 25 -> 2 + 5 = 7, 25-7 = 18
choose 23 -> 2 + 3 = 5, 23-5 = 18

and so on

so they have the same picture on each of these numbers: 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81

it all comes down to the number 9. the numbers with the symbol that shows up are all divisible by 9.

^^ You were probably waiting for the same symbol to show up as the first time.
They switch each time. That's how I figured it out. Do the same number a couple times and you see the pattern.
