whats due process in canada?
someone told me its 16 months
and i have an offense exactly 16 months 21 days prior to my court date

maybe take the 3 seconds to go to a website dealing with such matters instead of asking on here?

probably something you'd want to take more seriously than whatever random answer you'll get from a message board.

i already looked
couldn't find a concrete date
all i could find was in the canadian charter of rights and freedoms, i apparently have the right to be tried in a resonable amount of time.

ok i just found it doesn't HAVE a solid written date, but read most judges view it as about 6 months or so for a traffic ticket, so ill just show up and be like i dont really rememebr the date in quesiton as it was 17 months ago.

well, the officer has a written document saying you violated the law. you say you don't remember it.
